John, your clambake or buffet question immediately brought back memories of English class when we had to memorize & recite Julius Caesar!
Happy belated birthday! I'm working on my travel plan to get back for for the 55th events. Maybe there will be a CNS sports event that weekend.

Hi John! I vote buffet!  As for music, check out DJsRUs.com The owner graduated Cicero a few years after us, Russ Bench.  He still resides in Cicero near the high school. They do our trivia and play great music. Been to a wedding they did & the dance floor was packed. I'd be happy to get some info for you when I see them on Tuesday, if you'd like. Text me at 3154095793 and let me know.  Happy to help however I can.                          🥰MaryAnn Chichura Deming

There are a couple concerns I am having. We need to get a ballpark number soon on attendance for the reunion. Also need to get a handle on exactly what type of party we want. I am not dealing with Chuck or Marty Borio this time. The Spinning Wheel needs to plan on which room we will occupy. That will be based on number of people and the desired party.
Thanks to everyone that has responded to the survey.
Please reach out to anyone you know to respond asap and please spread the word through social media, bulletin boards, or any publication.

John, my wife and I plan on attending, we vote for clam bake, however I understand the Spinning Wheel would need a certain number to put on a full bake. Looking forward to the reunion. Thanks for your work on this, Dave Holihan.

John, Myself and my husband plan on attending, I like both menus so whatever the majority chooses I'm in. Have a Happy Easter, thanks again for all your time and effort you put in to make this happen.

Glad to see more people will be attending.

Any chance a local person can help out searching for a deal with a hotel for out of town attendees?

Maybe even some recommendations on Airb&b?

Anymore ideas on additional events like a picnic, school tour or a sporting event?

The two schools have had extensive renovations since 1970. Do you know there is no more courtyard at the old NS High School? And the  stadium at Cicero North Syracuse is amazing!

Autumn foliage should still be good the first part of October.

John,

I plan on attending.  Either menu is fine.  Whatever majority wants. Happy Easter Blessings to you and your family.  Thank you for all you do to get this handled!

Everyone can view the survey results now. Just go to the survey and there is an icon to click on to see the results.

There is a post on Facebook regarding the reunion too. Go to Cicero-NorthSyracuse High School Alumni on Facebook. All social media folks can help by passing on reunion info.

This site will always be the official site for info and reservations.

I'll scribble up a list of some current, seemingly ok north area hotels that classmates can look into.  In conjunction with family visits, etc., reunion goers will likely have a wide array of preferences and smaller group, non-reunion activities, so I'm thinking that looking for group rates would be more of an individual / small group thing.  Hopefully the current and ongoing, into October, traffic construction in and around the North Syracuse/Cicero I81 & I481 interchange will be much resolved by fall.  Current, unpredictable delays can become very interesting.

Currently, CNS Varsity football is scheduled for a Friday 100325 away game at West Genesee, but no time has been found, probably evening.  Maybe Rosencrantz will be there.

CNY fall foliage is usually mid-late October, but the Lake Placid region is usually a bit earlier and their Whiteface Mtn Oktoberfest, with their Cloudsplitter Gondola, is conveniently scheduled for Sat 092725 - Sunday 092825 (see LakePlacid.com).

Thanks for the info Sam.

I heard the traffic is tough in and around Syracuse.

Jim Rosecrans died in 2022. An exceptional athlete! Wrestler, lacrosse and football! RIP James!

I will not be attending the reunion in October.  Sorry to miss it, sounds like fun.  Hope you are all well.  John thanks for all you do all these years.

Also, Candlewood Suites, 5414 South Bay Rd 13212, N Syr (888) 978-5746.  This and the above referenced Holiday Inn Express on South Bay Rd are both next to the airport and probably the closest to the Spinning Wheel reunion event, but check for your preferred amenities.

At every reunion I hope to see someone I have not seen at a previous reunion. Sometimes that has happened.

If you could see that one person, who would it be?

Maybe a teacher? Maybe an advisor? Maybe a coach? Maybe a person you have not seen or heard from since graduation?
