I first met Mike in 6th grade at Gillette Road. What a cool guy he was. Though he was quiet, he was witty and had a dry sense of humor that went a long way. The last time I saw Mike, before he moved away from Syracuse, was at a Jazz bar on Erie Blvd. He was the drummer in a local Jazz band that was playing there. I was amazed at how good of a drummer he really was. Looking back, I now know why he was always tapping out a beat with his fingers when he was younger! Dorothy Hart (who dated Mike for some time) and I had a great night listening to Mike play and reminiscing with him. His tragic, untimely death was a shock to all who knew him.
