Richard Murray Vail, 62 of Sun City Center, Florida passed away Monday February 24, 2014. He is survived by his Loving Wife Judith, a son Stephen, three sisters; Linda Gladle, Patricia Schattell, and Sandra Sponable, family and many friends. He was born in Syracuse New York to the late Gilbert and June Vail (Smith). He worked as a Heat Treat Technician for 30 years at New Process Gear (Chrysler) before retiring to Sun City Center, Florida. A proud member of The Eagles #5341, Moose Lodge #813 and American Legion #309, as well as Riders club.
Dick and I grew up together we lived two doors apart, played ball in the backyard, build tree forts behind the bowling alley, and every year did both days of Halloween dressed as army guys. We had a lot of fun growing up in Mattydale, hell he was riding shot gun the night I rolled my Firebird. I had not seen him for way to many years.

As I recall, Rick was a great pitcher in Little League and Babe Ruth baseball.
