In Memory

Deborah Green (Wilcox)

Deborah Green (Wilcox)

Just found out about the passing of Deb Green Wilcox. So very sad.

We attended Hudson Valley together and had many long conversations on our rides to and from Troy.

We wore out my 8 track tape of The Best of The Band.

Always enjoyed seeing her at the reunions.

RIP Deb

I loved Debi! She was my first love. I can't believe that she is gone. Rest in peace!

Debbie was a really great gal.  We had a lot of laughs on band trips.

Debi and I began school together at Allen Road Elementary and have always been friends. We reminisced about the Allen Road Rodeo, similar to a school carnival. We began band in 4th grade and due to overcrowding, went to Cicero Elementary for 6th grade. We continued in classes and band at Roxboro Junior High. Under Mr. Mattola, the band played at the NYS Fair opening with Debi Green and Deb Tardy as drum majors. We went to North Syracuse High School, then double sessions until the exciting opening of Cicero High School. Debi and I both chose careers in special education and were guests at each other's weddings in 1973. Since the 20th class reunion, we saw each other every 5 years and more frequently since retirement, visiting in Florida and Fredericksburg, VA. I am so grateful to have visited Deb and John on April 5, 2025 and so saddened by her death 2 weeks later. Anne

Well said, Anne.  I also knew Debi from band events and Cicero High and loved her great spirit, her joie de vivre.   One particulary fond memory of a wild trip to NYC with our German class - crazy doings in Times Square that we managed to survive.   This sticks with me because I landed in the city and live there still.  Bless her.
