This is such sad news for anyone who knew Fran and especially so for me having dated her for the last two years of high school at Cicero.  Beautful spirit, quick to smile, laugh and I am blessed to have had that time with her.

Obituary
 
Frances C. Dennis, 60, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at her home. She was born on November 11, 1952 in Syracuse, daughter of Girard (Dan) Wooley, of Syracuse and Florence Wooley of N. Syracuse. Fran was dedicated to her career as a registered nurse working at Upstate University Hospital. The majority of her time was spent as patient service director in the coronary intensive care unit. Fran placed a very high value on her relationship with her patients and their families. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Omicron Alpha Chapter and the Association of Acute Care Nurses (AACN).

Fran will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and for spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed, cooking, gardening, arts and crafts and reading.

Surviving are her mother, Florence Wooley; father, Girard (MaryLou) Wooley; 4 sisters, Patricia Guiles, Janet (Dominick) Sciacca, Rita (Marvin) Earle, Joann (Kurtis) Wooley; close family friend, Toby Guiles; along with nine nieces, nephews; and her two beloved cats.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Association.
