I met Bob in seventh grade at Roxboro Junior High. He was always cheerful, helpful and kind. He was very smart but very modest and could always laugh about our adolescent dilemmas! We lost touch when the schools split and he went to Cicero. We recently reconnected via email and had hoped to see each other. All these years he had kept a boat on Lake George very close to mine! This past winter he had told me about his cancer diagnosis. He was optimistic as usual and very up beat. RIP Bob! Hope you have figured out "base seven" because I never did!

I knew Bob through elementary school, Roxboro and even through the split and a little after graduation.  Surpisingly, we were in some of the same classes together.  He was always friendly.  He was often part of the football and baseball games behind Allen Road School.

I believe the following story occurred  after graduation.  I still remember Bob telling several of us, possibly in Alan Kirkpatrick's garage while rebuilding one of his MGs, that he had been told by his father not to drive the 68 Thunderbird in the garage while his parents were away on vacation.  Bob then explained that he had disconnected the speedometer/odometer cable so that there would be no record of his misdeeds.  He had  then indeed driven the T-bird around town, leaving no evidence behind.

I know his story surprised me and I thought I should share this hidden "dark side" of Bob Paganelli.  I wish I had known him better after he went to Cicero.  RIP Bob
