Murray E. Root, a 20-year resident of Tavares, Florida, a native of Mattydale, New York, a civil engineer for various companies in the area of Syracuse, New York, including J.W. Cowper Construction Co. and W.C. Pahl Construction Co., died at home on Tuesday, November 19, 2002. Calling hours are scheduled for Sunday, November 24, 2002, 2-5 p.m., at Krueger Funeral Home, Inc., 2619 Brewerton Road, Syracuse. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 25, 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Religious services are scheduled for Monday, 11 a.m., at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Memorial donations are appreciated to Mental Health Association of Onondaga County, 6493 Ridings Road, Syracuse, NY 13206.
