James A. Nicholson March 9, 2010 James Albert Nicholson, 59, of North Syracuse, died Tuesday at Crouse Hospital of cancer. He was the son of the late Albert E. and Anna M. Davey Nicholson and graduated in 1970 from North Syracuse High School. He retired in 2004 from The Post-Standard as a maintenance supervisor and was former member of Teamsters Local 317. Surviving are his children, Laurie Nicholson of Syracuse, Lisa (John) Magnarelli of Hannibal, Jennifer Nicholson of Brewerton and James Nicholson of Syracuse; 12 grandchildren, Matthew Nicholson, Morgan Nicholson, Ashley Lasnicki, Ryan Nicholson, Justin Printup, Kali Magnarelli, Emma Magnarelli, Savanna Conroy, Rayshawn Nicholson, Jazmyne Nicholson, Brianna McDonald and Ava Nicholson; and a sister, Carol Taylor of Idaho. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 409 South Main Street, North Syracuse. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse.
