I moved to New York after receiving my BA in History (American Studies) in 1984 from Princeton University. I worked for several years in merchandising before getting my MPPM (Masters in Public and Private Management) from Yale in 1991. I continued to work in marketing and merchandising until 1995 when my husband was transferred to London for what was meant to be a 2-3 year stint. Twenty-three years and 3 children later, we returned to the States in 2018 and are currently dividing our time between New York and Baltimore.
While living in the UK, I did a great deal of voluntary work with young people from all backgrounds, helping them gain access to the arts. I also worked as a volunteer for Princeton doing outreach into British schools to explain the US university system and the application process to it. That evolved into a paid position with King’s College School Wimbledon as their North American Universities Co-ordinator, a position I still hold. We are enjoying being back in this country and love being close to our kids.
