John Goossens

One of my fondest memories was playing drums in a rock band that included other NDHS alumni like David Mills whom I haven't seen in many years. We did not make it to the big time, but we had a lot of fun together and that is what it is all about!!

The Saturday night trips to the Belgium Hall in Delhi were some of the best times in the summer months. The bands there were some of the best of their day and the house band ...The Dynamos were a great group and the regular Saturday night house band for the entire summer months!! I still see Roy Esbaugh who was a member of that band on a weekly basis as he lives in St. Thomas as well.
The regular teen dances that were held at the Legion Hall in Norwich were also a great time, most of the time the girls were lined up on one side of the hall and the boys on the other side....everyone was scouting for their next dance!!

Great to see that NDHS is planning a reunion in 2010!! The last reunion was a great opportunity to see people that I had not seen in many years. the other day, I ran into Tim Body in St. Thomas after nearly 40 years!!!
It will be good to see some of the former Norwichians....e.g. Doug Boswell, Tim Body, Brian Penny, Gordy Harrison, Mary Kay Bowman, just to name a few....
Hope the turnout is great!!!
Thanks to Diane Tokarz (Michiels) for all her hard work and efforts towards this reunion!! A great way to stay in touch with former classmates,etc...!!
