Guess which are more fun NOW.
What do you do for a living? Or are you lucky enough to be retired? Retired
Do you like the idea of our NDHS web site? By all means
YES.
Do you have any memories of your high school years? Tell us!

Most of these cannot be told without Self Incrimination.

I do remember having done things which, to-day, I would do differently. No longer such a follower, and not inclined to go with the flow for what might be preceived as potential acceptance.

I have more great memories of my years at NDHS than many would believe. Friendships I failed to maintain and would like to re-establish. Actions which, I'm aware, cannot be withdrawn.

Maturity comes slowly, even to those that feel mature . . .

The most significant memory is that of my First Real Love. Nothing like the crushes I had earlier, or even later, but a girl that I respected. Save for those that married their High School Sweetheart, I don't know how many would understand.

Teachers that REALLY taught, Thanks to Mr. McSpadden, and I am sure that I am not alone in this selection. Undoubtedly one of the wisest men I will ever have had the priveledge and benefits to have known.

A high point, for sure the whole class will remember Mr Dockstader and the Sex Ed Class. Dockstader writes SEX on the Blackboard and turns to face the class. After about 3 minutes, and having looked each of us in the eye more than twice he asks - Any Questions?
His face goes flush as Rick Wells raises his hand . . .
What, possibly, will he ask ? ? ?
Says Rick Wells - What did you think of the football game on TV Saturday? - So much for the Sex Ed!

There was also the Electrical Wiring practical test that John Croft and I were paired for. In a normal and logical sequence JC and I blew the breakers for, Ready fo this:
Front half of the Shop Class
Both front and rear of the shop class
Both the Shop Class AND the Home Ec class
All of the West Wing - Physics, Chemestry, Shop & Home Ec.

That said, Mr Beecroft, Mr Stenson, StJohn, Mr Aird, Mr Smith, Mr Smith, JC McNeil, Mr Strachan, Mr Daviau (oh how he regretted having had to try to teach me French) Mme Baines, Mme Brazier, Mrs Longworth and Ms Lazenby(Thornton) and Ms Magyar.
Special thanks to Mr Burke, for he ensured that Her mark wouldn't fail me - she and I really had a 'diffferent' relatiionship.

And with lots of gratitude for keeping things in order - Mrs. Bucholtz.

Are you looking forward to the reunion?

Can hardly wait.

I have done my thing and enjoyed the ride. Along the way I know that I have made a difference for society through the work I have done.

I have also messed up, more than once; but, lived to talk about it.

Do you still have family around Norwich?

Not that have been proven . . .

How often do you get back to Norwich?

Perhaps once a year

What do you do now?

Expierenced Atrial Fibrulation while in Anguilla. GREAT HOSPITAL, TREMENDOUS CARE.
brought me down from 214 - 216 bpm and stabilized me. Got to wait a year now for travel insurance coverage - damn !

All goes back to that life-long pickling of the liver thing . . .

How did you get into that line of work?

I really stumbled into the careers that I enjoyed, for I did enjoy the different occupations I have had. Who would ever have thought . . .
Financial, Culinary, Custodial (prison).

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

My liver isn't pickled yet.

Every time I get close, I wring it out and start over . . .

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My Grandchildren do provide me with a tremendous amount of enjoyment. which I am sure will increase as they become more water comfortable.

How old do you feel?

Older than rock itself, somedays; much younger others.

Any grey hair yet? Women don't have to honestly answer this one:)

Sill have a few strands of hair with colour . . .
And, generally, fewer strands of hair

What would we be surprised to know about you?

That I really did make a difference.

Did you have any nicknames in school?

Doc

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at NDHS?

Maintain contact with friendsI

Yeah, me too!

If I knew then what I know now . . .

Favorite Drinks?

Ceasar, If I'm in the mood to abuse my liver.

Still drink a few beer, sometimes more few than too few.

Favorite Music?

Oldies - featuring the beach and the melodies.

Famous or interesting people you've met?

Jennifer Sinclair - a Radio personality.

Cannot incriminate myself . . .

Any words of wisdom?

Walk quietly and carry a Big Stick.

Think before you speak.

Speak before you swing.

and always remember, just as a first impression cannot be done-over, spoken words cannot be re-spoken.

Ever gone on a blind date?

Yes

She was quite well adapted to facing the obstacles in her life. Too bad no-one warned her about me . . .

Do people have a sense of humour?

Ever helped a stranger?

Yes, often.

Some may not have enjoyed my assistance - like the guys burning down a cottage as 'demolition' so new construction could begin - but the fireman told them they should tell the neighbours before they burn a seasonal cottage in the winter . . .

Did you ever skip school?

Yes, and I often think School may have skipped me!

Ever been lost?

No, I'm a guy; I was just driving faster . . .

Swam in the ocean? And where?

Atlantic and Pacific, in the water (Florida, Camen Islands, Myrtle Beach, Republica Dominica, Costa Rica, Portugal Atlantic Canada, and the Northeast U.S.)

Yes

NO

yes, as a child; someone mentionned the refridgerator . . .

Yes, unfortunately THAT wasn't the only orafice . . .

Where's that sense of humour?

Danced your heart out?

Yes, back when I still had knees.

Been kissed under the mistletoe?

Yes, and have even been known to have carried the mistletoe too.

Watched the sunrise with someone?

Yes, and I'm not referring to the guys after an all night drink-a-thon.

Blown bubbles?

Yes - who has grandchildren that hasn't? There's probably some bubble stuff in the cupboard right now. I even bought the giant bubble web-with-a-stick thing, the kids really go nuts with that.

Been skinny dipping?

Yes, even after High School,

There was a morning that the Otterville Dam had a row of Moons sticking through the veil of water - and yes, that was blamed on me.

Can't figure it out though, I cannot be a Row of Moons all by myself ? ? ?

Sat outside in the rain?

Yes, after becoming partially upright following the rain waking me . . .
