Where do you live now? RR#3 Scotland, ON Canada
Are you married, single,? married to Joanne (Ramsey) (33 years)
Do you have children? If so how many. Tell us about them. Brent is 36 and teaches at a French Immersion school in Brantford. Erin is 31 and is a research scientist More…working Mississauga, ON and living near Freelton.
What do you do for a living? Or are you lucky enough to be retired? Teach the bible - & work.
Do you like the idea of our NDHS web site? Sounds great
Yes! Attending Reunion
Do you have any memories of your high school years? Tell us!

Having a great curling team that won the Oxford County championships, playing on the school badminton team with Dave Pearson who was also an excellent table tennis player. Retired undefeated in table tennis.
I do remember Barry Roberts asking the class if they had read Voltaire's Candide, Dante's Inferno and Virgil's Aeneid. Then I remember thinking and asking myself why I would waste my time with that. He then asked at another time who could tell him about the four horsemen of the Apocalypse in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ and that really caught my attention since I belived the Bible was 100% the preserved word of God even though I had no salvation experience until age 30 where I realized salvation had nothing to do with 'church', being a good person or water baptism, and had everything to do with a personal testimony of meeting Christ Jesus who was offering the gift of HIS finished work on Calvary to every lost hell bound sinner that would repent and believe the gospel. (1 Cor. 15:1-4) Now, that is life changing for time and eternity.
I remember looking back on my time at NDHS with Paul Loveday as a teacher who had the best kept secret in the entire school. A secret that would send billions to a very literal hell (sheol in the Tanach - OT) (Hades in the NT) and millions to paradise (the third heaven) - 2 Cor. 12:1-4, 1 Cor. 5:1-9.
I remember Paul Steinberg having numerous Jewish holidays and thinking life is not fair. Today as a proponent of the Judeo-Christian worldview I still do not have any extra holidays, which I think we believers should have.

Are you looking forward to the reunion?

Will be at a few events. Always interested in seeing old friends from school.
I graduated with a DAAJ (3yrs, Journalism) where I learned the KISS rule was going to allow me to circumnavigate most obstacles in life without getting an ulcer. Later graduated from the PMT program (3 yr. Packaging Managing Technology) where I learned how to put things in boxes (so many think). I have been teaching the Bible for about 25 years. I also get along with religious people. I have been to Russia twice with others in '91 and '92 in Western Siberia giving out over 150,000 New Testaments and preaching the gospel and visiting door to door. I presently am on Paltalk debating theology, Darwinism and every other 'ism that opposes the truth of God while sharing the blessing of the new birth. Don't worry, I don't "push religion" on people. I am still the same shy, (;-0) quiet fun loving person. I do have a 2nd degree black belt in Wado Kai karate, jog, bike trails, read all the time and have over 1,000 vols on theology, soteriology and eschatology and Hebrew and Greek lexicons and dictionaries (all the fun volumes so many are missing) and also have four miniature Australian shepherds. I have worked on six different newspapers, had my own business and have worked for a few packaging companies. The last was Republic Packaging out of Chicago.

Do you still have family around Norwich?

A few realatives with the last name Cornwell. My brother Larry lives in London, ON.

How often do you get back to Norwich?

A few times I visit the Tim Hortons as I am only 10 minutes away.

What do you do now?

I keep very busy when I am not working. I am often online as I mentioned, biking the trails in Southwestern Ontario, and sometimes jogging. I spend endless hours researching Biblical prophecy, archaeology and various theologians. I have a bad habit of adding to the 1,000 plus vols. prsently in my personal library. I actively trade on the stock market just for the fun of it and have a significant amount of background research under my belt in the ups and downs of the market.

How did you get into that line of work?

Glad you asked. I was saved by the grace of God in Oct. of 1984. I could go into detail if you are interested, how it is I know for sure my sins are forgiven and I am 100% sure of heaven. But, I realize how much the person that lectures on quantum physics bores me so I understand that if a person is not interested we would be wasting our time

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

I don't have a bucket list as of yet. Maybe catch a larger pike or bass, bike every trail I can in Southwestern Ontario and see one more soul come to salvation.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spare time?

How old do you feel?

On my best days 29. When I have a rough day and I start to get out of bed in the morning ................... about 110.

Any grey hair yet? Women don't have to honestly answer this one:)

I have the odd one ............ ah yes! ... in my spare time I pluck those odd grey hairs

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I was on a karate team that fought live on Wide World of Sports. Unfortunately I was the substitute at the time with only an orange belt. I was looking for my 15 minutes of fame and never quite made it. I did get my black belt in 21 months when 24 was suppose to be the minimum time allotment.

Did you have any nicknames in school?

Not really. I'm sure there were names I never heard. .. LOL

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at NDHS?

I cannot answer that without incriminating myself.

Favorite Drinks?

A cold Ice cap hits the spot

Favorite sports?

Tennis, table tennis, karate, biking ....... and anything else a person can sweat at without looking too foolish.

Favorite Food?

Anything I don't have to prepare. I do BBQ anything and everything though.

Favorite Movies?

Gladiator, The Patriot, Enter the Dragon (Bruce Lee) Amadeus, The Shawshank Redemption

Favorite Music?

Anything soft and quiet.

Famous or interesting people you've met?

A long list as a Journalist. The most memorable would be Bill Cosby along with many sports heros to some but to me just another story and photo.

Cool things you've done in your life?

I have walked in the same buildings that the richest men the world have owned. On Jekyl Island off the coast of Brunswick, Ga. are the mansions (actually just their summer cottages) of some of the former filthy rich. J. P. Morgan, the Rothchilds etc. I found this most interesting.
My wife and I met a 10 year old boy at one end of the island who turned to us and said, "y'all lookin fer gators too" We immediately vacated the area.
I have met some of the nicest and most polite people in Canada on the karate floor in a kumite match. They bowed to me before they tried to punch me before I hit them ... life is like that. :-)
I did meet a former USSR submarine Captain that sat in his sub with nuclear weapons at the ready 200 miles off the coast of N.Y. I met this man on a 32 hr. train ride (electric -believe it or not) from Moscow to Tyumen (east of the Urls in Western Siberia. I wonder if JFK knew he was there?
I also had dinner with Boris Yeltsin's cabinet in Uluterosk in Western Siberia. We didn't invite them to our hotel but, they just moved into a large table next to us and we saw food and wine like we had never seen before. The only thing on our menu was tea and Borsch for the most part.
Toured Okefenokee Swamp Park in Waycross Ga. They sure had some fat gators and the odd missing person.
The overhanging vines that were once above the tourist on the open boat tours through the swamp were cut back because of the complaints of the snakes falling in the boat and the option of jumping into gator infested waters was not a good one.

Any words of wisdom?

Yes, contact me if you want to know how you can be 100% sure of heaven without being religious. (1 John 5:13) (John 3:36) Get hold of salvation ... www.saved.com.
The Gospel? .. what is it ... 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Those going to heaven know for sure and it has nothing to do with religion, water baptism, ordinances, sacraments or being a good person.
Salvation is knowing Christ and having a clear testimony of how, when and where that happened.

Ever gone on a blind date?

Well it was kinda like a blind date when I walked into a room where Roy Ferris was sitting at a table and just finished arm wrestling Bob Hall. He asked me to sit down and I readily complied with his request just because of the size of the guy. It took him some serious time to beat me at arm wrestling and I know I could have taken him but in the back of my mind I thought he would be waiting for me outside. (I think I am retired from arm wrestling now at 56 yrs. of age.) I could run fast but had not got into karate yet. I dislike blind dates like that but I think we all have them. The greatest date that will be in our life that we should not be blinded to the truth of it as one appointment we will not miss? .... Hebrews 9:27.

Ever helped a stranger?

I go out of my way to do that wherever I am. I think that is part of life that makes us human.
One short story ........... When I was in Russia the first time a woman at one home handed me a letter to give to a relative she had in CANADA and asked me to pass it on with only the persons name and no address. I did find the person .. truly an act of God ... and they gave me $500 to take back to this family the next year which I did. I am still shaking my head about that one.

Did you ever skip school?

Just Friday afternoons - one time because L.L. and B.O. had a bottle of wine they wanted to share with me. The rest of the time was because I had to sharpen by snooker skills or go cruising with the boys.

Ever been lost?

As the song Amazing Grace that we all sing says "I once was lost but now am found" .............. I now have a very personal application.

Swam in the ocean? And where?

Off the coast of Georgia. I heard some stories from people that turned me off futher ventures in that direction. Yes, Virginia there are nasty things in the ocean.

Cried yourself to sleep?

Not that I can remember but I am sure some Toronto Maple leaf fans have been doing that since 1967.

Ever sang Karaoke?

Sing ????.... you have definitely got the wrong person.

Done something you told yourself you wouldn't?

Not usually. I prefer to learn from others mistakes

Made prank phone calls?

Too old to remember.

Laughed until some kind of beverage came out of your nose?

I don't even want to remember those days. I have a much more refined laugh today.

Danced your heart out?

Again. You have definitely got the wrong person. Although I have cut a few good moves on the karate floor to avoid being kicked and punched.

Been kissed under the mistletoe?

My wife is kinda romantic that way.

Watched the sunrise with someone?

Blown bubbles?

One of my other favorite sports where there are far less injuries.

Been skinny dipping?

I would have to be involved in a group confession on this one.

Sat outside in the rain?

Is that a nice warm sprinkle you are referring to? Sounds nice.
