What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?
I've pretty much fullfilled my dreams - worked at a zoo (Metro Toronto Zoo), lead nature tours all over eastern North America plus Texas and Arizona, got paid to birdwatch on the Breeding Bird Atlas project, own a cottage, and visited Africa twice. I'm looking forward to getting a pontoon boat and hot tub for the cottage.
Went on safari in Africa (Senegal)
Made friends in The Gambia, West Africa, and visited their compound several times for a true African meal eaten off one plate
Taught Polar Bear cubs how to swim
Visited Turtle Lodge in an inaccessible part of Algonquin Park (special permission)
Raised a daughter and 3 sons
Canoed the Pickeral and Key Rivers with friends.
Canoed and camped in Algonquin Park with friends
Worked at the Metro Toronto Zoo for 6 years
Worked for the Breeding Bird Atlas in remote areas of N. ON.
Was Staff Naturalist for the Federation of Ontario Naturalists - wrote a book - Wildlife in Jeopardy, an co-edited A Nature Guide to Ontario.
Lived in South River - had moose, bears, deer, foxes, flying squirrels' barred owls and lots of other wildlife in the back yard
Worked for a dogsledding company - Chocpaw Expeditions. Owned a sled dog. Went on a dogsled expedition (winter camping)
Created the Huron Fringe Bird Festival for McGregor Point Provincial Park 12 years ago. Lead trips for the festival for many years. It is on the weekend of the reunion this year.
Got paid to go to a conference in Calgary Alberta to present a resolution which I wrote that was used by the Canadian Federation of University Women to create policy on endangered species
