Yes! Attending Reunion
Do you have any memories of your high school years? Tell us!

Of course, there are too many to list but ....
- I remember Nancy Nold and I stuffing cotton balls in our ears in Mrs. Gaal's grade 9 music class -looking back, I can't believe I really did that.
- How about those awesome hot lunches in the cafeteria - and only costing a quarter - plus a nickel more if you wanted dessert.
- Also, how helpful and accommodating all of the students and staff were to me - something you would only get from a smaller school.

Are you looking forward to the reunion?

Of course - I hope to see many familiar faces - I just hope I can put a name to the faces.

Do you still have family around Norwich?

Yes. My brother John and his wife Darlene live in Norwich. My sisters Alice and Yvonne and my brother Ernie live in Woodstock. I'm very fortunate to have all of my family close by. My Mom is 94 years young and lives at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock.

How often do you get back to Norwich?

Brother John would say not as often as I should.

What do you do now?

Retired

How did you get into that line of work?

In answer to the above question, I guess I got old.

When I first got out of school, I worked for six years in the computer department at Standard Tube.

Then I was a stay at home mom for eight years.

I then worked in administration at Fisher Controls until it closed in 1997. Warren Kelly was my manager.

I then worked in the office at Woodingford Lodge until May 2007.

When there are Federal or Provincial Elections, I work as receptionist in the Oxford Election Office.

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

I would like to go whale watching.

Also, I would like to go to Pasadena to the Rose Bowl parade and football game.

Do lots of travelling.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to crochet, knit, and sew (wouldn't Mrs. Miller be proud).

I enjoy reading the works of Jan Karon, Karen Kingsbury, and Beverley Lewis.

How old do you feel?

Good question - how old am I supposed to feel (or act).

Any grey hair yet? Women don't have to honestly answer this one:)

Yea, there's a few peeping through.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

Probably nothing - I don't think I'm a very surprising person.

Did you have any nicknames in school?

Not that I'm aware of.

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at NDHS?

I would try to improve my grade eleven history final exam.

Favorite Drinks?

Bailey's in my coffee. Sloe gin.

Favorite sports?

I thoroughly enjoy the Toronto Blue Jays. I travel to Florida every March to watch Spring Training. I was also at game six in Toronto in 1993 when Joe Carter hit the game winning home run, the Jays winning their second World Series - what an experience and what a party!

Favorite Food?

It's easier to list what I don't like - liver, cooked spinach and asparagus. I like fish but not any of those other seafood gadgets.

Favorite Movies?

I don't watch too many movies but I did enjoy On Golden Pond, Titanic, and Pretty Woman (girl movies).

Favorite Music?

The oldies from the sixties and Country.

Famous or interesting people you've met?

Famous people - Gene Autry when I was in Sick Kids Hospital in London (1950).

Interesting people - lots and lots.

Cool things you've done in your life?

Went kayaking at Lac La Hache, B.C. in a kayak that was held together in places with duct tape. I don't know if that was cool or crazy.

Any words of wisdom?

Always live and enjoy life and each day to the fullest. Be yourself.

Ever gone on a blind date?

Yes - once and thanks but no thanks.

Sure and I have had a lot of strangers help me as well.
