Andrew Bowman

After graduating high school, I though the life of Jacques Cousteau was the one for me so looked for the closest small school offering curricula supporting water studies. Grand Valley (near Grand Rapids and on Lake Michigan) was the place. Finding Monsieur Cousteau to be all wet (most of the workday), I tracked Environmental and Regional Planning. Been doing that ever since in the form of local land use planning, regional land use planning and now urban planning for the City of Grand Rapids.
Met my wife Rose DeBie in Grand Rapids and we have raised 3 wonderful kids, one of whom has now added a grandkid to the mix. I am constantly amazed at how great my life has been thus far and hope to extend that as long as possible. I also feel unique among many of my current friends to have enjoyed my time growing up in Novi. There are always fond memories lurking in my thoughts that keep me going back. See some of you soon!
