Peggy Moore Farmer

After high school I attended Ricks College for a year then transferred to BYU from where I graduated in education.
Married Jim Farmer (class of '68), lived in Boise for several years, then we bought the family farm along with Jim's brother Warren and moved back to Nyssa. We built our onion packing shed, farmed, and raised our five children here in Nyssa. I taught school for several years. Some things never change - I still drag Main (as I drive through town) and still get the best hamburger around at the A&W!

One day as I sat in English class I looked out the window and there was a boy climbing up the flag pole cheerfully waving to his class inside. Something about his wingtip shoes, madras shirt, straight leg levis, and dimples spoke to me.
Here was a guy who marched to his own drummer and made my heart pound a little faster. I found out his class schedule and for the next year would accidentally run into him. Not being especially quick on the uptake as far as girls concerned it took him a while to take the hint and ask me out. But eventually he did - though he thought it was his idea. Thirty six years later, 5 children, grandchildren, many adventures, lots of laughter, ups and downs, even scuba diving - yikes!, I've been with that flag pole climbing dimpled dare devil.
