Comments:

After graduation, I went to NW Nazarene College (now Univ) my first two years and then graduated from UNC at Greeley, CO. I majored in Psychology.

I worked with Campus Crusade for Christ for 8 years. I started out at San Bernardino, CA for 2 years, worked with students at Cal Poly Pomona (1 yr), studied Russian at Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies and then lived in NYC for 6 yrs.
I moved back to Eugene, OR in 1985 and have been in OR since then. I worked at Lane Community College for a short time, then at my church for about 1-1/2 yrs. In 1989 I moved to Portland to work as exec. secretary for Williams Controls, Inc. (a mfg. company in the Tigard area).

I met my husband in 1995 and we got married in 1996 when I moved here to Lowell (just 30 min. SE of Eugene). I went to work at Wood Products Credit Union, which is now NW Community Credit Union. I work in the investing department at our main office in Springfield, OR.

My husband, Dan, works for the Springfield School District. He works in maintenance for all of the schools. He repairs and services anything made of metal. Before we were married, he built a railroad track and train that goes around our house. Needless to say, our house is the main attraction on the block. Dan has two adult children. His daughter has 2 children, ages 5 and 3.

I love to quilt and could do that all day. Dan and I are both involved in our church at Pleasant Hill, OR.

My brother Larry and his wife Megan live between Nyssa and Ontario. He is still with Coldwell Banker/Malheur Realty. Megan and my sister Patsy both work at the Correctional Institute (prison) outside of Ontario. Patsy lives in Payette. I always love coming home to Nyssa and being able to see my family.

School Story:

I have lots of memories of studying! My favorite part of school was band. I enjoyed all of it - whether it was just the class, pep band, jazz band or marching band.

I agree with Ron Sarazin. I loved it when we played the 1812 Overture. It was something to see the adults (kids, too) come out of their seats when the blanks were fired for the cannon sound.

I remember what a good majorette Marty Sommers was my junior year. I will never forget when marching band took 1st place our senior year. We had a great time when the band went to Calgary, Canada. I am glad we had Craig Northrup as our director. He did an excellent job. Our family kept up with his family after they left Nyssa. It was fun to see them from time to time.

Steve is my cousin and we share the same birthday but he is 2 years older than me.  I love a picture we have sharing our birthday at a park with a swimming pool in the hot July weather.  I must have been about 5 and Steve would have been 7.  I still miss him dearly.  He was one of the kindest people you could ever know.

May you have a wonderful day. I'm still 60, but not for long! I think Larry mentioned you and Dub just had an anniversary. We just celebrated our 18th. Look forward to seeing you this summer - Nancy
