Chris Flores

I was in a teaching role for about 10 years during and after the University of Washington. Ever since kids, though, I've been a systems engineer for a small IT firm that provides me with autonomy and a flexible schedule.

Oak Harbor high school was the last of 3 high schools I attended. As there is a strong military presence there with many of the kids attending this school, I was one of them starting my sophomore year into graduation. I was pretty involved with tennis and track, as well as most of the "bands" - jazz band, marching band, pep band, the school band. A small stint in the ska band The Amateurs, and even played for a number of years in the local community polka band! Notable classes included physics with Mr. Moser, Calculus with my track coach, and band with Mr. Lance!
