I went in the Army in July ’89 as a Telecommunications Terminal Device Repairer (Telecommunications, Main Frame, and Desktop Computer Repair),my first duty station was Korea Feb ’90-June ’91 (2nd Infantry Division) during the first Gulf War.
I then moved to Ft. Drum NY (10th Mountain Lt. Infantry Division) in June ’91-June ’93, where I went to Germany in Feb ’92 for 6 weeks for REFORGER, (Return of Forces to Germany, it is a WW III Training exercise), while stationed there.
In June ’93- Apr ’97 I moved to Ft. Ritchie MD (ISECCONUS Information Systems Engineering Command Continental United States) as an electronic data equipment installer. I installed communication/cryptographic systems for NASA, the DEA, and other Government agencies. I Traveled 9 months out of the year, and left the military to be able to be with my family.
I married in Oct ’95 to Carolyn, my wife of 13 years which has proven to be the wisest thing I have ever done. She works as a teachers aide in the Grundy County Special Education Co-Op. She got involved in Special Education after our youngest son Jonathan was diagnosed with Autism in Mar '05.
I got out in Apr ‘97, and my father died of a heart attack in Dec that year. I miss him a lot. Mom is in her 60's and still going strong.
I graduated from Moraine with an A.A.S. (Science), and will be continuing my education at UIC pursuing my B.S. in Engineering Management.
I went to work for Siemens Building Technologies right after the Army in Apr ‘97 as a Senior Technical Support Specialist working on the Access Control and Closed Circuit Television systems at O’Hare Airport, and I managed the systems at Midway Airport for 8 years.
From there I went to ITG Solutions Inc. in Feb ’06 to become a Security Project Manager. My boss retired in ’07, and I became the Security Operations Manager in Aug of last year.
I had 3 boys along the way, and continue to live the dream in suburbia.
Well that was 20 years at the 30,000-foot level.
Not much here I care to share, mostly ran with the wrong crowd and wasted my youth.

Holy shit. 35 years. Well, I am still alive. That will make many sad. Had a heart attack in March. No biggie. 99% blockage. In and out of the hospital with a brand new stent. No heart damage. I am armor plated.
Boys out of College. One has his BS in Computer Science and the other has his BS in Marine Biology.
Waiting for the banks to collapse and general shit show to begin.
You got oppressive right. And your Kiss Army was all male.
