I graduated from EIU in 1992 with my good friend Kelly Klutcharch. I met and married my husband in 1993 (met him through Julie and Brien Akers). I started teaching 4th grade in 1994 in Worth and continue to work there. Working and living in the same town has many pros and cons. I started having my kids in 1996 while getting my Master's Degree in Special Ed at GSU. Currently, I spend a lot of time at my kid's sporting events and working around my house. If I ever quit teaching, I think I'll become a carpenter. I've learned how to use every power tool with the help of my husband and my dad. In my spare time, my neighbor and I walk 5 miles which helps us blow off steam and get a break from our hectic lives.
