As a parent, it is hard to believe our parents allowed the five us (Gardi Ipema, Maggie Lattner, Ginny McLauchlan, Liz Van Thorre and Alice Jandrisits) to take the Lattner family car to FL for spring break 1979. We drove all night, got speeding a ticket, the car broke down in GA and was fixed for $50, then camped all week. The majority of the group did not want to come home in time for the start of school so we stayed longer! I was grounded many weeks for not getting home on time but it was worth it!!

In FLA in '79, we met a lot of people on the way. The view of the ocean sums up the entire trip. Those were the days!!!

Feb. 2008 at Chuck's Tavern in Fontana, WI (on Lake Geneva): There was about 10 people total in the bar on a cold snowy Saturday but we knew about 4 people all from Oak Park. It was strange! Pictured: Liz Van Thorre, Carol Hickey, Maggie Lattner, Rhonda Morkes, Alice Jandrisits, Ginny McLauchlan.
