Sharon passed away February 12, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Craig, a son, Michael (Milo), and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan.
I had lunch today with Eric Otterbein. Both of us wer. classmates of Sharon at Wm Hatch. We both remember her as a kind, good natured person. I'm sure she made a positive difference in every life she touched. She did in mine. Rest well.
I was sad to hear of Sharon's passing and I too went to Hatch School with her. I have fond memories of our time together and alway enjoyed being with her. As a good and enthusiastic athlete, she regularly invited me to play baseball in the alley of her Austin Blvd home. I also recall joining her for "Pioneer Girls" at her family church, Judson Baptist Church, also on Austin, where her family were active members. I bet I was the only Catholic visiting the Baptists in those days! Sharon was an enthusiastic Girl Scout and always sold the most cookies! I mean, she actually broke records with her sales. I think it was that her mom took cartons to Walgreens at Austin and North Avenue where she worked as a cosmetologist. I was jealous of her! Girl Scouts were a big part of our young lives then and best of all was our annual campout together. Innocent times. Sincere condolences to all her close friends and family. She will be very much missed. Lovely to hear from Lowell, Eric and Owen.
Sharon and I have been longtime friends since we met at OPRFHS. We were there for each other over these last 57 years even after I moved to North Carolina. I will miss her dearly. She will always be in my fondest memories.
