Janet is survived by her husband, Frank, and two sons, Brad and Kurt. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Janet was a very, very dear friend, so many happy and mischievous memories. We were college roommates freshman year, and many connections throughout the years. The last time i saw her we parted with a long, tight hug..i will cherish that moment.

Janet was one of our gang in high school referred to as the TROOP. We had such a good times throughout the years and became very close. As happens we remained friends throughout our mariages and early years of having children but then since so many moved away to different towns and states we drifted apart. About 5 years ago we started to reconnect and began seeing each other at least twice a year. Some of us even more often. We had an annual get together of about 8-10 people which was really looked forward to and we found that we were just a tight as we were in high school. We celebrated with each for all the happiness in our lives and we cried over challenges that any of us faced. Janet was an intregral part of those gatherings and she will be missed so much. We all spent a whole day chatting back and forth about Janet and our memories of her and then came up with a remote way that we could all honer her at the same time. While not the same as a service, it helped to have some ritual way to say goodbye to a great friend. RIP Janet.
Love THE TROOP

It is with many fond memories that I was sad to learn of Janet's passing. Part of the Hawthorn "Our Gang," we traveled from morning kindergarten through 8th Grade together. Everyone wanted Janet on their team because she was competitive and excelled at any sport.
Girl Scouts was a very big part of our lives from Brownies to earning Gold Awards, then called Curved Bars, in 8th Grade. Putting a clocks set for midnight under our leaders' tent, Vicki Little's and my mom's, at Wild Rose or stealing the Totem pole from another unit at Lone Tree Council summer camp, Janet loved scouting.
I can still picture us in our full pastel dresses at special dances at The Nineteen Century Club and the Hawthorn Gym. My sympathy to her family.
