Genie passed away June 7, 2016, in Bellevue, Washington. Genie and her husband, Brian, were married during the great Chicago snowstorm in 1967. Her favorite activities included freelance writing, horseback riding, skiing, walking, sewing, cooking, gardening, and playing her piano.

Eugenie and I were in a class together. She was very bright and a genuinely nice person. I'm glad that she had such a full and active life, but it's very sad that it did not have a bit more time.

Genie and I palled around together in HS. I even got to go out and visit her and Brian in Seattle many years ago. We had a lovely day hiking up in the mountains. She was very proud of her home and did a lot of gardening. I am sorry to hear of her passing.
