In Memory

Robert Syljebeck

Bob passed away peacefully March 7, 2020 at Praire Lakes Health Center after a long battle with dementia.  Bob is survived by his wife, Sally, and his children, John and Ann.  He was a proud grandparent of 5 grandchildren.  Bob and Sally celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last summer.

At OPRFHS Bob played football and wrestled.  He went on to Purdue University and earned a degree in mechanical engineering.  He was an ardent Purdue fan and a long-time member of the John Purdue Club.  He was a very special person who especially loved his close knit family and friends.

Bob was a Wrestling teammate, and we shared the same Home Rome with Janet Sorenson for four years.  A very smart guy!  A really nice guy!  I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
