Myrtle was the daughter of Caroline Gant-Bradford and John Bradford .She was born November 15,1892 and she passed away June 18, 1950.  She was the youngest child and had four sisters and one brother: Jettie McKnight, Lillian Aikens, Minnie Bradford, Bertie Williams, and brother John Henry Bradford.  Myrtle Bradford was Married to Albert Devine and to this union was born: Albert Jr, John Henry Sr., James Sr., Bert, Charles, Minnie, Mary, Anna Paul and /Ethel Devine.  She raised her niece Gracie Lee from birth as her own.  Myrtle was named "Dan Naw" by first grandson William (Sonny Boy) because he couldn't say "Grandma."  

Myrtle Bradford- Devine mother Caroline Gant- Bradford passed away in child birth having Myrtle Bradford- Devine, Her youngest child.  Caroline mother name was Harriett Gant from North Carolina. She was a natural slave. Living on a plantation in North Carolina. She had four children, 3 were sold into slavery. She moved to Texas with her child Caroline. No information on father.

 We will try to research and find a Gant Plantation to find more history. This was given to me by my grandmother Mary L Devine- Stephens.
