REUNION DETAILS
Friday Night Mixer: We came up with several great location to consider kicking off our reunion weekend. Finally, We agreed on 1st Location: Arsimona Bar & Lounge 561 11th Street, Oakland, Reserved tables. Happy Hour 5-9 pm. Casual/ No Sportwear.The it turn to a club after 9pm. If you don't want to stay I believe 2nd Location: "Mexicali Rose" in Oakland,Ca. So for those who will be in town early, You are welcome to meet informally at Mexicali rose restaurant on Friday evening, August 7th. This is such a great place and a hot spot for "Mack" Alumni from all years, so you might run into some other old friends. ( It's actually in walking distance 4 blocks away)
Saturday Night Reunion: The California Ballroom @ 6pm - 1am, Dressy or Casual, Semi- Formal... Whatever you feel like,But please no jeans and t- shirt. Vincent McGhee c/o 83 Alumni will provide an evening full of music. Picture nametags so you will recognize your former classmates ( Please send us a picture if your wasn't in the year book). Photographers will be at available at all events to take snap shots. Awards ceremony, Dearly departed ceremony, Honor our faculty & Veterans, Games, Raffle drawing, etc.
Sunday Event: Early stage, possibly Church Service & Brunch for those classmate who want to attend. We have to get Name & address to Local Churches in Oakland. We will send you a list of Churches when you receive your Reunion Packet. It would be nice to do a picnic as well but we know alot of classmates will be traveling back home, so Sunday event have to be brief. (CHURCH INVITATION BELOW)
Note: We will send out a list of local attractions for those classmates who want to meet up on Saturday morning to plan a get together. It would be nice if we can meet at "McClymonds " High school and take pictures. For those classmates who would like to do that, You could actually pick your T-shirt up Friday night at the mixer and meet at Mack on Saturday Morning wearning your Reunion t-shirt for Photos. If a group would like to plan that , let us know and we can post it on the site or send it in the reunion packets. This is an optional get together.
CHURCH INVITATION: Thanks Relonda
Hello Tina, you are doing such a marvelous job and I look forward to being a part of the festivities. I would like to invite classmates to attend Sunday Services at True Vine Ministries where myself and Maxine Dozier attend. Services are held at the Grand Lake Theater from 9:00 am - 11:00 pm. Our main location is on West and 12th Street but we outgrew that location and are in transition until our new church home is built. Classmates are more than welcome to attend and the time frame works well especially if the group will have a picnic that afternoon. Take Care! Relonda
