Myrna managed to get us (Bev, Judy H, Jim and Jackie, and Barb... Merle couldn't make it)j together at 'Classic' Chefs to plan the 50th Reunion. I know it's impossible to say what you will be doing in 14 months but when Myrna contacts you please let her know if attending the reunion in the Fall of '09 would even be on your radar. We want to make the event as doable and accessible as possible.

So. please, as the date gets closer if there is ANYTHING that we could do to make your presence possible - let us know. Maybe organizing car pooling if gas prices are a block.

A college friend and I left Syracuse in July of '63 and one month and 10,000 miles later we arrived in Los Angeles ... and spent $200 for gas and oil!

I promise you if I ever win the lottery I will rent the biggest bus I can find and drive to see all of you taking along as many of our classmates as I can!

Jackie Colburn (Reid) Hi Marcia! I'm sorry I missed the meeting. But............just like the move to Florida, things are not in my control. I heard that you would be willing to have a "get-together" Friday evening. That would be great. If I lived there I'd love to have it. Can't wait to see you all. Bev and Denny are staying with but I will still have another dbl bed upstairs and at least one pull out sofa in the 'front room'(where we used to have the pj parties). I hope to have that room closed off with folding doors and curtains so it would be private. I have an addition with new laundry room and the bathroom was extended to house a tub so ... no having to go upstairs. Plan A for when I can't get up the stairs. Marcia

Thank you to everyone for making the Friday Night get together as much fun as it was. I didn't make it out to the porch in time to hear the 'guys' talking about their service experiences but it looked like a lively conversation. It was wonderful to have Linda (Marsh) Peet spend the few hours she was in NYS staying with me. She got back home to Houston with only two hours of delay! David Cook demonstrated the power of Reflexology to several of us. I know my shoulder felt better for awhile. And Myrna walked around the family room - without the walker!! We have some monies left for the next 'formal' reunion - #55 but in the meantime we hope to do informal gatherings every summer. Please let Bev. Barb, or myself if you are going to be in the area so we can gather the locals. Thanks again. Hugs, Marcia

Don't give up an the DVD. I have finally gotten all the photos to select from and the video clips too. If there is a way to post some of it here on this site I will. Thanks to all.

Thomas Duffy It was great seeing you all again after all these years. My wife Donna and I enjoyed the entire weekend. We are looking foward to the next gathering.

THE 50TH DVD IS DONE.

IT WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY.

IT INCLUDES PICS FROM FRIDAY NIGHT (08/28/09) HERE AT MY HOME, SAT'S VISIT TO THE SCHOOL AND PICNIC/GOLF AT MERLE'S, THE DINNER (INCLS VIDEOS OF SOME AMAZING DANCING), AND SUN MORNING AT THE NEW CHEF'S. AND, A MEMORIAL OF THOSE WHO ARE NO LONGER WITH US. ALSO INCLUDED ARE CANDID PICS I RECEIVED FROM BARB FLATT, JOHN COOLBAUGH, MYRNA, FRANK EMMICK, AND WALT GOODRICH ... PLUS 132 OF MINE.

BEV AND I WENT THROUGH MY TATTERED SCRAP BOOK PICKING OUT PICS THAT WOULD INCLUDE AS MANY FACES AS POSSIBLE. WE ALSO INCLUDED THE PICS FROM THE 40TH AND 25TH REUNIONS.

THE VIDEOGRAPHER, SCOTT, WANTED TO TO KNOW WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO US WHEN HE SAW THE PICS FROM THE 25TH!! I TOLD HIM TO JUST WAIT BECAUSE IT WILL HAPPEN TO HIM TOO.

THOSE OF YOU WHO ATTENDED THE 50TH BUT DID NOT ORDER THE DVD WILL BE GETTING ONE. WHY? BECAUSE THE DINNER COST $10 EACH AND THE EXPENSES LEFT ENOUGH TO DO SO - INCLUDING SHIPPING. IT WILL CLEAR OUT THE ACCOUNT LEAVING $0.41. IF ANYONE WISHES TO 'BUY' IT AFTER RECEIVING IT, THE $10 WILL BE WELCOMED INTO THE ACCOUNT FOR THE NEXT REUNION.

I WILL DO MY BEST TO GET THEM TO YOU BY CHRISTMAS SO YOU CAN SHOW FAMILY AND FRIENDS YOUR SCHOOL DAYS.

IF YOU HAVE NOT ATTENDED ANY REUNIONS BUT ARE CURIOUS ... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT ME. I HAVE SCOTT'S PERMISSION TO COPY THE DVD AND WOULD SEND YOU ONE; UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE ONLY A FEW ORIGINALS LEFT SO AFTER THEY ARE GONE IT WILL BE MINUS THE FANCY LABEL AND CASE. THE SHIPPING COSTS ARE ON ME, I LOOK AT YOUR FACES AND SMILE, REMEMBERING OUR EXPERIENCES TOGETHER.
