Shawn was one of my best friends in late elementary and Jr. High. I lost touch with her for a bit and had just joined her and her grandmother for dinner a few nights before her death. It still haunts me. I have occasion to drive past her house often, and I think of her constantly. I hope that she found the peace and happiness that she didn't find here.

Shawn did pass away in 1989. She battled depression, personal struggles estranged from her family and friends - taking her own life. She was a kind person with a warm heart. I think about her often and miss her like mad.
