Ashley Aikens Hartley

Hello old friends!

Here's what I've been up to in the past thirty (gasp!) years. I got a BA at Pomona College in Claremont California studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Then I took a Rotary Club scholarship to Cambridge University in England for an MA in Development Studies. While in Cambridge as an undergrad doing a study-abroad semester I met a tall, dark and handsome Englishman who eventually came home with me but first we worked for a year in Kuwait City and then near Lake Arrowhead in Southern California.

In 1997 we got married in England and then moved to San Francisco and found jobs. Eventually we bought a house in Albany which is next to Berkeley and just over the bridge from San Francisco.

I started working for a consulting firm that specializes in risk management and internal auditing - it's called Protiviti. My department is Knowledge Services and my team manages the corporate intranet, extranets and knowledge sharing/knowledge management programs and initiatives for the 5000 or so consultants. It's fun, I enjoy it. I travel quite a bit - mainly to India.

In 2013 I got divorced. The husband was having a bit of fun on the side... Now I'm single and very much enjoying raising my three wonderful boys.

In our spare time we like to hike and travel and have adventures. We like camping, backpacking and biking and snowboarding in California. This summer our big adventure will be a road trip to Yellowstone!
