I loved Weber! I had so much fun and learned a few things also. Band was my favorite subject. My best friends were: Ed Graven, Clair Scott, Robert Lundgreen and Tom Hoggan.
Life is good!

After high school, I did one year at Weber College when it was just four buildings, and then joined the Navy and served four years as a musician in Navy bands. The highlight of that stint was a cruise on an aircraft carrier to the Med. Came back to Weber State and graduated in 1969 in instrumental music.

I then attended North Texas State University for one year playing in the Lab Bands and studying Jazz performing and arranging.

in 1972, I married Rita Roueche', the good looking viola player in Weber's orchestra and we had 6 children and now have 16 grandchildren.

The next fifteen years found me self employed making a living writing arrangements, playing gigs, and teaching private lessons. The U of U band marching band played my arrangements for half time shows for five years in the 70's. In 1982 I joined the 23rd Army Band and served 23 years with them.

1985 - 2004 taught school in Salt Lake City at numerous grade schools and Bryant Middle School. (Band & Orchestra).

I'm retired now and write music, make original CD's, increase my proficiency on piano, golf, hike, and enjoy being a grandparent and husband.

I think it was my senior year and a bunch of us guys (no girls) were taking a 2 period class called Industrial Drafting out in the temporary buildings. Mr. Skidmore was the teacher. It was so boring. We spent the full two hours copying drawings out of a book and would take them to Mr. Skidmore to grade, which he would do with-out hardly a comment. So one day when he was out, we pushed his desk all the way back to the end of the room and went back to work.

He returned to class and took in the situation and went to the back of the room and pushed his desk back where it came from and never said a word!
