Van Lyle Fuller, 63, a devoted and beloved husband, father, papa, and son returned to the loving arms of our Savior on June 3rd, 2025. His family was his whole world and he was an absolute selfless hero to his wife and family, serving them and giving his all to them throughout his entire life. Even to his very last moments on this earth, he chose the Savior’s path by putting the needs of the ones he loved before his own.

Van was born to Karen and McKay Fuller on January 14th, 1962, and raised in North Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Weber High School and years later; while working two jobs and raising his 7 children, earned his master’s degree in business administration from Weber State University. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission in Germany and has since served faithfully in many church callings. He served as scout master for many years, young men’s leader, primary teacher, and loved singing in the choir. After meeting in 7th grade, and even attending a 9th grade dance together, Van married his best friend and love of his life, Shelley (Swenson) in the Ogden, Utah LDS temple and remained a faithful, loyal, and loving husband until the very end. Recently, Van and Shelley made priceless memories together as they traveled abroad and enjoyed adventures riding their bikes. Van took his responsibility to care for and provide for his wife and family to heart and worked relentlessly without complaint for 35 years of his career at Amcor/Oldcastle Precast and most recently, finishing his career at Regency Excavation. Van was loved and respected by all who knew him and touched countless lives.

Van was incredibly humble, gentle and happy, loving his family above all else and spending every moment of his life making memories with them. He was truly the best dad and grandpa ever and was lovingly referred to as Papa Van. He spent countless hours sitting on a bucket playing catch and behind the wheel of the boat with his children. His free time was spent supporting his grandchildren at their various activities attending ball games, livestock shows, and dance recitals. He shared his love of golf, hunting, fishing, sports, camping and the Gospel with his family and gave his loving wife and each one of his children and grandchildren memories they will cherish forever.

Van is preceded in death by his father, S. McKay Fuller, his father-in-law Gary Swenson, and many other loved ones. He will be fiercely missed and survived by his best friend and wife of 41 years, Shelley; his children Colby (Lynley) Fuller, Chase (Jill) Fuller, Jordan (Landon) Henderson, Carson (Melany) Fuller, Sadie (Braxdon) Fuller, Keaton (Kelsie) Fuller, Jackson (Eco) Fuller, 12 beloved grandchildren, mother Karen Fuller, mother-in-law Mary Rae Swenson, and 8 siblings and their families
