Tribute

Nanette Orgill Traylor, our beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, and Nana, went to her eternal peace on March 26, 2024 after a valiant battle with kidney cancer.

Nanette was born in Ogden, Utah on January 5, 1962 at 12:15 a.m.; missing her Dad’s birthday by just 15 minutes. She was the youngest of four lively sisters, and daughter of Derwin Jay and Beth Macfarlane Orgill.

Nanette spent her early years in Ogden, living close to her grandparents' fruit farm along with aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Her favorite seasons were spring and summer, making her summers helping on the farm nothing short of joyous. She attended Horace Mann Elementary and Highland Junior High Schools.  At 14, she moved to Pleasant View, UT and graduated from Weber High School. She also attended Weber State University which was short-lived due to her occupational prowess.

In Nanette’s professional life, she devoted more than three decades of her career to the mortgage industry, most recently serving as the Chief Credit Officer at Canopy Mortgage. However, we cannot forget her many years moonlighting at Marie Calendars and The Greenery where diners were provided with her most excellent customer service, upbeat attitude and infectious smile.

Nanette was passionate about her family, both immediate and extended. She enjoyed hosting her family for dinners in her home. She tried to be at every event, sometimes traveling through the night for baptisms, graduations, weddings, basketball games, missionary farewells/ homecomings, concerts for kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews.  She didn’t want to miss any of those important events. She lit up every room she walked into. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing with her sisters.

Her family was everything to her. Talk about her boys was constant. When Amber joined their family, she finally had the daughter she always wanted. Her greatest joy was becoming Nana to her grandchildren. The countless sleepovers, family vacations (when one was over, the next one was being planned), holidays, and making Grandma Macfarlane’s infamous orange rolls for Thanksgiving are all cherished memories.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Nanette had a strong testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and attending the temple became a very important part of her life.

She is survived by the love of her life, Reggie Traylor; her sons Cole Orgill (and wife Amber), Jace Wade, Darrian Traylor, and Terrance Traylor; her four grandchildren Prince Traylor, Bronson Orgill, Brielle Orgill, and Clayton Orgill; her sisters, Kay Orgill, Diann Ward, and Janae Sutton. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Waterfall Ward LDS church building located at 5160 W Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89130. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 to 10:45 on Saturday, April 6 at the same Lone Mountain LDS church building.
