Jim died on October 22, 2008.

He is survived by his wife Joan, son Jeff, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Donna Harbertson Persinger:  I found a copy of his obituary:

 

Roy:    James Richard Anderson, 64, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008, in the Ogden Regional Hospital from a massive stroke.  He was born October 2, 1944 in Tremonton, Utah, a son of Fred R. and Virginia Rucker Anderson.  He married Joan VanderWoud on April 5, 1963 in Elko, Nevada.

Jim was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben :Lomond High School.  He also graduated from Weber State College in 1967 with a B. S. Degree.  H was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He had been employed as a salesman for 25 years and won numerous awards for his outstanding sales achievements.  He was owner-operator of the Taco Times in South Ogden and Clearfield for 15 years.

Surviving are his wife of Roy, one son, Jeffrey J. (Stephanie) Anderson, Layton, fpur grandchildren, Josh, Jaqualynn, Jaden, and Chandler Anderson; three brothers and three sisters: Dean (Debbie) Anderson, Pocatello, Idaho, Mike (Joy) Anderson, South Ogden; Bret Anderson, Arizona;  Kay (David) Foutze, North Ogden; Linda (Steve) Larsen, and Kathy (Randy) Hart, both of Ogden  

Funeral service will be held Monday, October 12, 2008.
