Joseph Dee Brenchley
Ogden – Joseph Dee Brenchley, 67, passed away November 17, 2011. He was born February 25, 1944 in Logan, Utah to Joseph Memmott and Fay Anderson Brenchley. He lived in Ogden all his life and graduated from Ben Lomond High. He married his sweetheart, Vickie Marlane Call in the Logan LDS Temple in May 19, 1967.
He was a member of the LDS Church and served a mission in the North British Mission, but continued serving with a missionary spirit throughout his life. He was a devoted member of the church. He served in the Elders Quorum, Young Mens, Boys Scouts, was a Stake Mission Leader, served in two bishoprics, as a High Councilman and High Priest Group Leader.
He worked as an equipment specialist at Hill Air Force Base most of his life. He loved camping and outdoor activities with his family and loved to read. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.
His life was service oriented and selfless; he put his family first and he was willing to lend anyone a helping hand.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Vickie; children, Duane Joseph, Brian Norman, Kevin Dee (Lori Dee), Melissa (Christopher) Payne and Heather Brenchley; 4 grandchildren, Kade and Logan Brenchley, Brooklyn and Boston Payne and 4 brothers, Richard (Linda), Craig (Susan), Paul (Nannette) and Dale (Sherlene) Brenchley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters-in-law, Sharla and Beth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Lorin Farr Stake Center, 480 7th Street. Friends may call on Sunday, November 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and on Monday, prior to the service at the church from 12 to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
