HOOPER - Miland Richard Farr , 60, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2005, at McKay-Dee Hospital.

Mike was born September 2, 1944, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Norman Roland and Neta Elizabeth England Farr .

Mike was educated in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School, after which he attended Weber State College.

During his life he resided in Ogden, Riverdale, Las Vegas and Hooper.

On June 12, 1964, Mike married Mary Elaine Strong, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he contributed greatly to the youth and scouting programs.

Mike was a good provider owning his own construction business.

Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. He was active in recreational sports when he was younger. He loved riding horses and being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, John D. (Angie) Strong, Hadlock, NC; Michael J. (Amanda) Farr , Hooper; Brian N. (Tami) Farr , Clearfield; five daughters, Tammy (Tryge) Simpson, Eden; Christy (Bridger) Call, Morgan; Julie (Corey) Butler, Corinne; Tiffany (Michael) Graves, Ogden; and Jessica Farr , Las Vegas, NV: 23 grandchildren; his parents, Norman and Neta Farr , Riverdale; four brothers, Wayne (Pam) Farr , Heber; Lowell (Jan) Farr , Hooper; Don (LuAnn) Farr , Riverdale; Darrel (Lauri) Farr , Syracuse; and a sister, Suzanne (Alan) Gailey, South Weber.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Hooper 10th Ward, 4675 West 5500 South.

Friends and family may call Thursday, June 2nd, at Lindquists Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., at the ward house.

Interment, Alpine City Cemetery.
