Judy, age 77, passed away peacefully surround by her loving family on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Judy was born on June 7, 1944, in Ogden, Utah to Milton James and Marjorie Irene King Shaum. She was the youngest of 5 siblings whom she loved dearly.

She was a graduate of the Ben Lomond class of 1962.

Judy married Eugene Sherman and together had two daughters: Sherie Shepherd and Brandie Kennington. They were later divorced.

She met and married Joe Bunn and with that marriage gained 3 more children: Shawn, Nathan, and D’Lacie. She loved her children but her greatest blessings in life were her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Minnie.

Judy’s career consisted of hosting at the Prairie Schooner and retiring as a buyer after 20+ years at Chromolox.

Judy had the ability to light up the room. She could make anyone feel loved and accepted even in the most difficult situations.  Judy enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones. She lived for those moments where she could play cards with her husband, have girl days with her daughters, dance to Backstreet Boys or John Cougar Mellencamp with her grandkids or snuggle with her great grandbabies. Family was her whole life.

Judy is survived by her husband Joe; children Sherie (Dean), Brandie (Mike), Shawn (Sam), Nate (Josh), D’Lacie; Sister Carol Jean (Joe) Brewer, Sister-in-law Jean Shaum, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joanne and brothers; Jack and Milton and her beloved pets; Riley and Saddie.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah and Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.. 

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 20thand Madison Avenue.
