Jack was a good friend to me and a fun and sincere guy. As a Junior High and High School student, he was a sharp dresser, good athlete and did fairly well with grades (as I remember) and he was also a good hunter. I once saw him drop a four point buck while the deer was bounding through the woods at a fast clip. Jack was a very handsome guy and the girls really went for him.

His father happened to be an elderly man when Jack was born and therefore wasn't too involved in Jack's life later on. I never knew his mother as she passed when Jack was very young. Jack had two sisters that adored him and did every thing possible to replace their mother 's absence. Both women were very good to Jack. Personally, I would have liked to been a better friend to him but life got very busy for me. First the Army Reserve and then I married at age 19 and moved to Texas. As I say, Jack was a good friend. He is missed.
