That may be better since there will be parking issues at Holy Trinity.

Those of you that have to travel a long distance, is the weekend of June 26th -June 28th a good time. Input would help alot for scheduling reasons. Input from everyone would help alot. Not trying to be bossy just ready to see everyone and have a good old fashion class of 1989 party. Later, Alan

That weekend is perfect for me. I'm driving in from Minnesota earlier in the week. I am not sure if Gina is going to make it or not.

I cant wait to see everyone. The date june 26th, 27th and 28th are just fine with me. Someone let me know if I need to do anything to help out.

I should be able to be there for the weekend of 27 Jun. I like the idea of using the facility at St. John's. Not really keen on the idea of having to go to the City. Let's just stay put in Okarche and have a good time. Can't wait to see everyone.

I noticed that Ronnie Hau isn't on the list of classmates. He was with us through our Junior year so I hope that he has been invited. Can someone reach out to him?

Still not real sure on St John's yet. It may be getting used for church services because the church is remodeling the sanctuary. I will keep checking or we can come up with another/different plan. Later, Alan

Dave I'm not yelling at everyone just YOU!!!!!!! I still luv ya man. What else do you think we should do besides bar night? Cookout at park with family and other old friends, parents maybe and even some of our favorite teachers that are still around might be a good idea, kids could swim and play while we all remeber how WILD and CRAZY we were, ha ha. There is enough of us still around here that we should be able to throw one hell of a outdoor wing ding, without all the travelers having to bring food. They can buy all the drinks. That is just my thought. Anybody else got some ideas. Later, Alan.

The park idea sounds great to me! We can still get the catholic school gym for $250, but we probably need to decide so it can be saved for us. I will gladly call and reserve it, just let me know. If we wanted to have it catered, I can call some places and check on prices. We would have to decide what kind of food we'd want. We could do mexican, bar-b-q, or italian. Do we need to call Eischen's and reserve the back room or anything? I'm sure Shannon could handle that for us. I see Ronnie at the donut shop here in the city occasionally, but I know my mom sees him. I will have her get his contact info and see if he wants to come too!

We've decided not to bring our kids with us, just too much of a hassle for the expense. We'll just be leaving them at home with thier grandparents.

(less interference with a Bar night!).

I like the idea of the bar night and the BBQ at the part (if weather permits...)

Also, would like to have the bar night Sat night instead of Friday (though maybe Friday also) just in case we can't get there until late Friday night.

Wife is looking for a new job, so depending on if she stays at Intel or goes external, will dictate whether we can come Thursday, Friday or late Friday night.

As it stands right now, we are considering going Friday night to Toby Keith's if Shannon can get us hooked up with that. Saturday we are planning Eischen's and Sunday at the park. I am doing invitations to everyone with all of the details. We are just waiting to finalize the information for Friday night. Alan or I will post a message when we get things set.

Wow, I didn't know this forum existed the entire time the site has been up. Guess I have a lot of reading to do. I can't do the 26th, my nephew is getting married in St. Louis but I'll be back Saturday around noon so I'm game for Eischen's. Anyone gotten ahold of the holdouts - like Danny and Suzanne? They haven't even registered on the site yet.

05/10/09 04:02 PM #83

Linda Long (Williford)

I talked to Alan and he said that Suzanne knows about it but hasn't found the time to create her profile. Danny is here in the city somewhere. I am going to ask if my mom can get addresses for them so we can send them the information.

As it stands now, we are not going to be able to do Toby Keith's on Friday. So instead, we are going to go to The Fox and Hound on Memorial Rd. on Friday night. I have a call in to see if we will need to make reservations. I am going to need to get a head count. Alan is going to call all of the guys next week and I am going to call all of the girls. We are planning on meeting at the Fox and Hound around 7:00 and at Eischen's around 6:00. We are going to have to get to Eischen's early so we can reserve enough space.

We are also going to need to collect $20 from each single person and $30 from each couple to help pay for the food on Sunday. It will also help pay for the chicken at Eischen's on Saturday. Stay tuned for more info!!!!

Thanks, ls

I forgot to say that we would be going to the park on Sunday, the pool will be open so bring your family. Also, if you want to invite your parents you can. We will need to know a count of people so we can buy enough food. If everyone will bring a salad or dessert for Sunday that would be great also. Also bring your own drink!

Thanks!

Thanks, Linda, for setting things up. Thanks to Alan too.

I will bring my boys on Sunday, and I am sure my parents will come as well. Looking forward to Saturday evening at Eischen's. Haven't been in there for years.

Ok-I have something serious to say: I urge all the women and all the wives of the men to go and have a mammagram!
I found a lump in my left breast a few weeks ago, I went and had my 1st mammogram. They found some cysts, did a biopsy and they told me today that I have early stage breast cancer. The good thing is thats its early stage. I go in for mri soon and have surgery and some radiation. The doctor said since we caught it so early I should have a 100% survival rate. So do your self breast exams and start getting yearly mammograms! I miss all of you and cant wait for our reunion!

Kristi,

Thank you for posting your message. We will keep you in our prayers. I had my first mammogram last year and am due for another. I agree with you that early detection is so important!! We will look forward to hearing a positive update at the reunion.

Hello everyone, the Reunion is set for June 26-28

Sandy K made a post announcement asking how people thought about inviting teachers to the reunion. Her recommendation was specifically to invite them to the Sunday BBQ but I guess they are old enough to do any of the events given everyones approval. *grin.

I would love to have the teachers invited. I hope that someone has some contact information for them as I do not.

I agree with Chris that the teachers would be welcome at any of the events if they would like to come.

Also, I would definitely be interested in a t-shirt for the reunion. See everybody soon!
