Stehman Nominated as 2018 OHS Distinguished Alumnus of the Year

The Class of 1964 is rightfully proud that the Okemos Alumni Association has nominated our classmate, Dr. Frederick B Stehman, to be the recipient of the 2018 Okemos High School Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award.  This award honors the the Okemos alumnus/alumna "who demonstrates exceptional dedication and achievement as well as humanitarian contributions."

Fred is a most worthy nominee in more ways than one.  Click here to read the nomination document created by Sherrie Paty Barber ('66).  His record of exceptional accomplishment, dedication, and humanitarian contributions is second-to-none.  Please take a moment and email Fred your hearty personal congratulations for an honor well deserved.

Fred is unusually modest and has declined to accept the award stating that "I am not as convinced that I belong on the same level as these other recipients.  I do appreciate the thought and it is an honor to be considered."

New Okemos High School Alumni Web Site

Your class of '64 has joined the class of '65 (Rod Ellis and Gary Weeber) in creating a new Okemos High School Alumni web site.  You are encouraged to join by going to www.okemosalumni.org and using the same user ID and password as you use for this site.  Check it out.  It is an easy way to connect to members of other classes; John Bjorkquist has contributed an essay and other interesting new materials can be found there.  We will keep this Class of '64 web site active for the forseeable future.  If you have any questions, please contact Bob Bratzler.
