Carl Don `Donnie` Rogers, age 43, died of cancer at 3:42 a.m., Sunday, February 1, 2004 in his home in Yukon. Those of us who knew and loved him now know and mourn his loss. We knew him as a caring, compassionate teacher; a warm, loyal friend; a son, brother, husband, father loving those closest to him with his last look, last breath, last words `I love you all.` He missed his students once he`d become too ill to teach, but often teared-up in his gratitude for their love, prayers and support.

He lives forever now in the love of God and the memories of his loving wife of 25 years, Marcelene, daughter Angela; father and mother, Charles Rogers and Willa Hawke; brothers Carson and Chuck; sister Candice, as well as many others numbering among his family, friends, students and colleagues. We will miss him. We will weep for him. But, too, we will know that our tears of sorrow mingle with those of joy among the hosts of Heaven.
