I Came back to the Okmulgee School System in 1983 from Preston High School after I was told by the Preston School Adminstration that I could Not take Music Lessons Because I was supposed to play basketball my senior year! Well that rubbed me the wrong way, because I thought that I was the one to determined what I wanted to become for the rest of my life, so I left, When I got to Okmulgee High, the first thing I did was to enroll in two music classes with Mr. Larry Sparkman, Who taught Me how to read my Bass Notes, It was one of the Best decisions I Made my whole life. Thanks Okmulgee High!
