"PROPOSED FRAMEWORK FOR 40TH GRAND REUNION "
THE THEME: OCNHS BATCH 1975....40 YEARS LATER!
DATE OF THE REUNION: FEBRUARY 10, 12, 14 2015
PROPOSED EVENTS: There will be three (3) separate events with 1 day break in between events to recharge and give our balikbayans plenty of rest for the next event.
EVENT ONE: ICE BREAKER: Designed to reacquaint with our batch mates, class advisers and teachers. We want to share our stories, re-establish friendships and bring back old memories and experiences. This is also our chance to meet their spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, and partners in life. This include the spouses of our departed classmates and friends.
The event will be informal (shorts and Tees recommended) and will probably last 3-5 hours of introduction and conversation. Drinks and light snacks or pizza will be served.
EVENT TWO: DINNER/DANCE: This will be a CASUAL AFFAIR. Attire will be casual/semi formal clothes. We want our friends and classmates to be comfortable, at ease, and feel 'welcome' on this special evening. We encouraged members to dress 70's, just for fun!
A brief "WELCOME and INTRODUCTION" program will be included to introduce and honor our special guest(s). Buffet dinner and limited cocktails/liqour/beer will be served. 70's, 80's and your favorite tunes will be played. Finally, DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!
EVENT THREE: FAMILY DAY AT THE BEACH/LUAU
FAMILY DAY AT THE BEACH
This will be OPEN to all member's immediate family ONLY, i.e children and grandchildren. The US committee will provide the food and drinks. We will also encourage our members to bring their favorite dishes to supplement our food supply. Children and adult parlor games will be held and your favorite KARAOKE will be there waiting for you. Prizes and gifts will be given.
LUAU
Will begin at 5 PM. Open to members, spouse and guests only. Bring your Hawaiian polo and shorts (for men) and Sarong/Mumu's for ladies plus accessories. Hawaiian style dinner and drinks will be served.
FINANCING: This is probably the most difficult part of the plan. We want to make this as easy and painless as possible. We're all aware that not everyone is on the same financial playing field and we also recognized our present economic situation. With all things considered, we therefore proposed the following options:
1) $10 a month for 36 months beginning January 2012 with a total pledge of $360 for each member.
2) $15 a month for 24 months beginning January 2012 with a total pledge of $360 for each member
We significantly reduced the price so that everyone can participate on this occasion. Please remember that we need your support and commitment to make this event a reality. We have 5 months to contemplate and make our pledge, so please think about it and let us know your decision. Our collection will start January 2012. We thank you in advance and we hope to see you on our 40th Grand Reunion in 2015.
**WE RECOMMEND TO MAKE YOUR PAYMENTS THRU AUTOMATIC MONTHLY DEDUCTIONS AND/OR POST DATED CHECKS TO LESSEN THE BURDEN OF COLLECTIONS.
MEMBERS ARE FREE TO CHOOSE ANY PLAN THAT SUITS THEM. OUR GOAL IS TO COLLECT THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF $360.00 (WITHIN 36 MONTHS) FROM EACH MEMBER. THIS WILL ENABLE US TO COVER ALL POSSIBLE EXPENSES IN THE PHILIPPINES. ANY LEFT OVER MONIES WILL BE RETURN TO OUR ACCOUNT FOR FUTURE EXPENSES AND ACTIVITIES. A FULL DISCLOSURE AND ACCOUNTING WILL BE FURNISHED TO EACH MEMBER AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE EVENT.
REFUND POLICY: PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT IF A MEMBER CANCELS OR WITHDREW FROM THE EVENT FOR ANY REASONS, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND OF YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS.
