Bio:
After finishing H.S. in Waterloo, Iowa our junior & senior year, I attended the University of Iowa and studied electrical engineering for 5 semesters. When I had enough and realized I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life, I transferred to Chicago and received my AAS in CAD, and then my BFA in Graphic Design at Northern Michigan University in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. (Long story!) I loved it up there on Lake Superior...so much that I lived in the Northwoods for 13 years, including 7 yrs in Duluth, MN. There I worked for a media company and also as a gallery curator for numerous galleries and for a cool restaurant.
I really got into the outdoors and have since spent many trips backpacking & camping around the world and U.S. Too much to go into. (Here's a topic of conversation at the reunion if you are at a loss for words!)I can go on..and on...and on...:D ha!
Anyway, in 2001 I realized a long-time dream and completed a 1823 mile bicycle trip from MN to Boston. I hope to take on another bicycle tour in the next couple yrs. I've also, in the last few years, gotten into "the big bikes" and took some extended mile motorcycle trips around the U.S. including to Sturgis,SD, Montana and Wyoming, the Outer Banks and this July a 1000 mile trip on my own bike on the south shore of Lake Superior. Wheee!
I've basically tried to get as much adventure into my life as I could and hope for much more.
Looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion! What fun!
