I graduated from Peru State College with a degree in English/Education and a 10-month old baby. I lived in Omaha, did substitute teaching for a while and eventually landed at Physicians Mutual Insurance Company.
I met my husband in 1993, moved to Wisconsin and finally married him in 1997. He brought 3 kids to the marriage, I brought mine. We have since had 2 girls of our own.
Most of the kids are grown and gone...a couple are in college...one is in high school in TX. My son Chris is 21 years old!!! Man! It's crazy having kids that old! He has been writing rap music for years, still looking for his big break. He did have a song played on a local radio station when he was living in Tampa, but not much since.
Working at home full-time writing direct "junk" mail for Reader's Digest companies--mostly Taste of Home magazine.
We have 2 kids left at home and both of them do competition dance. I stay pretty busy with that. I will be nearly 60 when our youngest goes off to college. OMG-what was I thinking?!
My husband is currently stationed in TN until he retires from the US Navy next summer.
