He is survived my his wife, Michelle, daughter, Rachel, sister, Kym, brother in law Bart, many neices and nephews and all his Jeep friends

Jim started the Just Jeeps of Omaha club so people who enjoyed off roading with Jeeps could have a good, clean, family friendly club to do it with. He was a loving dad, husband and friend. He fought hard to beat cancer. He worked for many years as a baker with Baker's Supermarkets, enjoying creating delicious treats for everyone. He is missed by many. So sorry to hear of your loss; and bless you and your family; eventhough i may not really know you, or may not have really known Jim, however the way i see it is.. all knew of him in our Tech High School family. We sort of know of each other be visual in the halls of Tech, so therefore we all know one another in spirit i feel.

You see I can relate, as my husband also "has" cancer, and has fought the hardest battle of his life for 3 & 1/2 years with his cancer. He's currently in remission.

I would of gone to this reunion; however the very reason of being in Colorado..we're currently just living on his disability pay, and just couldn't afford to go this time. Spouse of a cancer survivor..Julie M. Tweedy..(yes, you may share with others if you wish). JMT

I am so sorry to hear this! Jim was one my very BEST friends! His family gave me my first job, and I will never forget all the fun times at Dippy's!

Julie I hope your husband continues to do well. Cancer is beatable and one of the most important things people can do is really live while the are fighting it. Jim lived more while dying than most people ever dare to do. Even tho it has been almost 7 years since we lost him here on earth, he still inspires me every day. I walk every year in the ACS Relay for Life and I will say a prayer for you and your hubby while I walk in honor of all the survivor's out there! Thank you for taking the time to post! Kym

Amy it was good to see your post! I will never forget seeing you and Jim together and how you would laugh and smile. He grew up to be an awesome man and loved and cherished by many. You were one of his first friends and it was so good to read your post. Take care! Kym

I still can't believe he is gone. We had so much fun together. I miss him, and your parents everyday. Had it not been for them making me part of their family I can't imagine how those years would of gone. Take care. Melinda

I was just sitting here at work thinking about our Tech days. Was thinking about Jim and all he had to go through with our "gang" as Bart calls us. He was very special and I will always remember his smile.  I know he is looking down and you and is proud of his big sis!

Thank you, Laurie. I am just now seeing this post from you! Yeah, Jim became part of our gang, even if I didn't always want my kid brother tagging along! But they sure were some good times! :) xoxo
