Jacobsen, Jennifer L Nov 14, 1961 - Mar 1, 2016 Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 1st at her home in Pinewood, MN. Formerly of Omaha, Jennifer graduated from Tech High School in 1980. She attended Southeast Community College in Lincoln, and The University of Nebraska at Lincoln majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Biology. Eventually she transferred to Bemidji State University earning her Bachelor's Degree in May 1999. After graduation Jennifer worked in senior care services as a Program Director for an assisted living facility. At home she cherished spending time with her beloved dogs. In her spare time she enjoyed the wilderness, travel and crafting. She also loved reading, writing poetry and was versed in Bible scripture. Jennifer adored her family and friends and didn't let distance prevent her from touching everyone's life that knew her. She will truly be missed. Jennifer is survived by mother Joyce Jacobsen, brothers John and Neal Jacobsen, cousins and close friends. She is preceded in death by father, Kenneth Jacobsen. MEMORIAL SERVICE 11am Friday, April 1st, at Luther Memorial Church, 6099 Western Ave., Omaha. Luncheon will Follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity or Alegent Hospice.
