Omaha. Dick attended Holy Family grade school and was a graduate of Tech High School. He then entered the US Navy and served 4 years active duty and 2 years in the Reserves. He was employed for 41 years with Nashua Corp. Survived by wife, Mary; daughter, Chris (Bruce) Karschner; sons, Rich (Rose) Benda, Brad (Wendy) Benda; grandchildren, Katie, Richie, Ben, Wes, Evelyn, Aidan, Hallie; sister, Joyce (Bob) Vondrasek; many wonderful relatives, friends, and buddies from both the Navy and Nashua.
VISITATION Thursday after 4pm with Vigil Service 7pm at the funeral home. FUNERAL Friday 9:20am Bethany Chapel to St. Mary Church (36th and Q) for 10am MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Military honors by American Legion Post 331. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to the family. BETHANY FUNERAL HOME
