James A Kologenski - Class Of 1957

preceded in death by parents, Henry and Agnes, brother John and wife Cherlynn.
Survived by wife Linda, daughters Dori Janicek (Eldon) and Carol Peck  (Bill), grandchildren Jennifer Becker (Matt) and Billy Peck (Amanda), greatgrandchildren Eldon and Kyle Becker, brother Louis (Pat) and other
family members and friends.

Jim was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and passed away peacefully with his wife Linda by his side in Arizona. He graduated from Technical High School in 1957 and joined the Air Force. Jim enjoyed working on cars and was a race car driver at Play Land Park and Sunset Speedway. He owned a gas station and Jim & John’s Automotive. He loved roller skating and became a Professional Roller Skating Instructor and ran the Roller Bowl Skating Rink He also dressed up as a clown and worked with Dr Sanguinary every Labor Day collecting money for Muscular Dystrophy.  He  owned a bar and a couple restaurants before moving to Florida and later to Arizona. Jim was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Free Masons and Shriner’s. Jim became a pilot and as a member of the Shriner’s, transported patients to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Jim loved singing karaoke, playing darts and lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed.
