Hey All! Feel free to contact me on this site, or even better on Facebook. Yes, I'm one of THOSE people.....
So..... a synopsis of the life and times of Daeleen: I'm living in the Washington, D.C. area and working for Uncle Sam at the U.S. Dept of Transportation as an aviation lawyer. Went to Willamette law school in 1999 after years of moving wherever the wind blew (Calif., Nevada, Montana, Oregon) and/or there was a job or a college to attend. Not sure if law school was a 'mid-life crisis,' or I was just tired of being broke and needed a new car. Anyway, Uncle Sam offered me a job when I graduated and I figured it would be a new adventure to move East. So, I loaded up the old Chevy Blazer (later replaced by a rockin' Ford F150) and drove across country in 2002. Life here is interesting, but I miss my West Coast "peeps" and our laid back lifestyle. In the meantime, in the never-ending pursuit to live a balanced life, I've purchased a Harley for those days I need to feel the wind in my hair (for you safety monitors, make that a helmet) and a cabin on 18 acres in W.V. so I could stay "country." I even can pickles, jam, and applesauce every once-in-a-while. So, who knows what life will bring next, but I'm always open to opportunity and adventure.
In case you're wondering, I never got married or had kids. Nothing against a traditional lifestyle, it just didn't suit my vagabond soul. I am a happy aunt of 9 nieces and nephews that I can spoil and then return to their parents, which works for me. :) It's not exactly hard on them either.
Hope all is well with each of you. Dae
